Automatic Writing - Make a Date With the Other Side

By Stephanie Barker | Submitted On June 08, 2009

Spirits try to communicate to us everyday, through many ways, yet most of the time it goes ignored because people are unprepared to receive them. It take a lot of energy for a spirit to communicate to you in any form, let alone the amount of energy it is going to take to move your hand across the paper.

Here are some pointers to help you set the date for your interview with the spirit world.

- It is important that you schedule specific times to "meet" with the other side. It's like a date or an interview. Schedule it, don't just jump into it or you won't be prepared and neither will they.

- Mark it on your calendar. Put it in writing, it will be more permanent. When you write things down, you are more likely to hold yourself to it. It also serves as another way to put it out to the universe.

- Verbalize it. At the end of a session, remind them that you'll talk to them same time tomorrow, or same time next week. Or prepare them when your session is coming up. As stated above, they are always trying to communicate.

- Schedule your sessions at the same time everyday or on the same days of the week at a certain time. Keep it a recurring schedule, and KEEP THE DATE. Consistency is key. Make it easy for both of you. The more of a habit it becomes, the better at it you will become.

- Clear at least a half hour for your session and be patient. Depending on how successful you are, this time may stretch. Give yourself plenty of time to prepare and give them plenty of time to come through. Remember it doesn't always happen the first or even the first few times.

- Schedule a time when everyone will be out of the house. You need total quiet and concentration. Any distraction will offset your focus and make it harder for both sides to make a connection.

- Make the time right for you. Don't do it in the morning if you have to pack lunches and get the kids off to school, and don't make it too late when you are too tired or still busy. You'll need to be able to wash your cares away, put aside the "to do" list and forget everything else outside of that room.

- Pick a room where you will have the most quiet and least amount of distractions. People, noise, even windows and posters might cause you to focus your attention elsewhere. If it is going to be a distraction, get away from it.

- Give yourself time ahead of time to meditate or get relaxed. Don't give them a barrier to try to bust through, be open to them. They are working hard to get through so you should work just as hard to allow them to get through. Any superfluous thoughts will hinder the transmissions.

These are just a few of the basics to get you started with your Automatic Writing sessions. Good Luck and Happy Transmissions to all!
