Define Your Enemies

By Frances Copeland Lucas | Submitted On January 16, 2011

Psalm 25:1-3 "To, you, O Lord, I lift up my soul. I trust in you, my God! Do not let me be disgraced, or let my enemies rejoice in my defeat. No one who trusts in you will ever be disgraced, but disgrace comes to those who try to deceive others."

Don't let our enemies succeed. Our enemies are not just people but they are obsessions of the things of the world. The enemies think of ways to pull us away from God and toward the things that keep us from having peace. The devil is the source of all of our enemies. We need to be sure that we trust in God that he will not let our enemies succeed.

We know when our faith is strong in God, he can overcome our enemies; however, we have won only half the battle. It is when our enemies go for other people in our lives and attack them that we need to step up. Our mission is to tell others about God's power and how they can trust in him to keep enemies from succeeding. We can make a difference by telling others about God and how God can give them peace when they are down about the things of the world and the attack of the devil.

We can't make a difference by waiting. We don't need to stand by while our enemies are planning. We need to take action. We need to set big goals that will help others before the enemies attack. We need to make plans so big that God will have to be in the midst for them to succeed. We need to set up action steps daily and weekly giving those steps to God so he can bless them. We should live intentionally so we are prepared when that opportunity comes to really make a huge difference for God.

In order for us to ensure our enemies don't succeed, we need to get busy! Define your enemies and begin your plans to win with God at your side.
