Allow thirty minutes to one hour to prepare for the bath emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.

Baths should be approached in an unhurried and meditative state.

It is prefereable but not required to (soap and) shower prior to taking the bath.

The overwflow drain should be plugged if the tub is shallow.

Preparing and entering the bath:

Draw the bath, testing the temperature of the water. If it is too hot for you to submerge your face, adjust the temperature.

If instructed in the formula, coat the entire body with the vegetable or fruit oil, paying special attention to the syelids, face, and genitals.

Place the stone designated in the formula in the bottom of the tub.

Pour the meaured vinegar into the bath water.

Pour in the essential oil formula.

Mix well with a wire whisk until no droplets are seen in the water.

Pour in the vegetable or fruit oil of indicated.

Mix well with the wire whisk.

Do not step into the tub until the bath is drawn.

Use caution entering and exiting the tub if vegetable or fruit oil is used on the skin or placed in the water.
Place a good nonslip rug by the tub to step onto when exiting. Sit on the edge of the tub and slide in, or roll over the edge of the tub. Slide down under the water, submerging the face and leaving the nose and a portion of the mouth out of the water. This position covers all the chakras and is the most effective. For comfort, turn from side to side of lie on the stomach, submerging the head frequently. It is important to keep the head submerged as much as possible.

Tall people should sit up and soak their legs and feet an extra twenty or thirty minutes.
